I am working on a 79 pace car with 2.3 turbo. Been sitting 15 years or better and it has no brake pedal. I replaced the master and that didn't do anything. Unable to get fluid to get out of the bleeders, and the are not plugged. I even applied vacuum and nothing. I did some reading and some people talk about the proportioning valve could be causing me the issue. I see some bleeder tool on line and its for GM valves. Any help here would be great!

You did bench bleed the master cylinder? Of course you did.
Start by cracking the lines one at a time from the mc working your way back, that should show how you where your problem is.
Is your peddle going all the way to the floor, will not pump up,right?

I did bench bleed the master. I have never ran into this issue before. The lined going from the proportioning valve are a challenge to get to to crack and I thought I would put it out there before I go further.

you are better off replacing all of the lines with new SS hard and soft lines. A car sitting that long will mos likely have he line rusted and the soft lines dry rotted.
While I hate working on brake lines, I agree.

The issue with brake lines is that it's never just one. One may get you by now, but rest assured, you will be doing all of them.

If you really want to see if the fluid is ever going through, crack all bleeders open, fill the mc to the top and check tomorrow. Gravity should make them leak.

If you need to replace any Hard Lines take a look at NICOPP Tubing, I recently replaced all the Hard Lines on a Pontiac Aztek and that stuff is amazing to work with, you can pretty much bend it with your hands, easier to flare than steel, and its corrosion resistant.

Repair a aztek?
Why?
Sorry, they are too ugly to fix. :flame:

Tell that to Walt
