No. Its should be spot anodized like Mikes titanium knee caps.
This way.
Six of the best, like a TitanKNEE-UM kneed bug.

What he said. To my knowledge, ceramic coating creates more of a heat barrier than plain powder coat. Im no expert though.
Technically you never said what type of coating you are having put on them. You just said, dropping them off at the powder coating dude, and chose silver for the color. Made me assume you were having them plain powder coated. From what I read, plain powder coating will not hold up on automotive headers.
I'm having a high heat coating applied to the headers...I just cant seem to find the difference between what I'm having done, and what is considered Ceramic coated.Dropped the header off at the powder coat dude...I chose Silver as my color. I wanted it shiny, but it looks like it's gonna have the same flat characteristic that I've always seen in a high heat situation. ( Except Collins)
Aww nonsense....Don't sell yourself so short. Most of the pics that Noobz finds and posts are far from witty..and Make little to no sense as to why he posted them,...Im not nearly as good at finding whitty pics and GIFs to clog this toilet with.
Is there high temp coating rated for the kinda heat the future turbo is gonna makeSo then.....You are assuming that I don't know the difference between touching a hot valve cover, and touching a hot exhaust header with my finger then?
Are you Doing like Noobz does, and Evelyn Woodhead Sped Redding my threads now?

When you buy a set of cera-kote headers they are typically very shiny. The coating I'm have applied will be flat. It was the same thing when I had Jet-Hot do my turbo exhaust on the Blue/Black Conquest I built in 2004. It looks like Jet hot is gonna charge over 400.00 to do what I'm having done for 240.00...
I'm gonna call the guy today and get some clarification on all of this.

I'm sure that you could find something if you tried..

There's a reason that chip Foose hasnt done that yet, and here's a hint for you..Take Dave's advice and get everything copper plated!!!! Chip Foose hasn't even done that (afik). A copper plated engine with 6 copper plated itb in a copper plated box with a copper tinted (like the Apollo astrounaut's face shields (maybe that's gold)) glass cover! You just need that sales job commission to kick in big time! But you can work harder for our enjoyment can't you?
While you're at it, might as well copper plate the expensive lounger's base to match.

My company doesnt know it yet, this just happened last night. I still have to go through the pre-lims to be truly "hired" by the Alfa Romeo/Maseratti/Fiat dealership. But I can't imagine anything stopping it from happening.
It's a lesser volume, higher commissions alternative to selling a BMW. It's a brand new facility instead of the run-down neglected one I work in now. Instead of selling cars named by a number and a letter, I'll sell cars named after a woman, and a road.
Their SUV is built on the same platform as the car, and is named after a twisty mountain pass in the Italian Alps...( Stelvio) Only the little coupe that looks like an old Lotus gets a number and a letter for a name...( 4c)
The irony of this whole thing is that the sales mgr here comes to me last night with a pile of resumes...these are the applicants competing for my job. I am in essence choosing my replacement...only they don't know it yet.
I'm optimistic, and hopeful. I'm up for the change.
I shouldve been born 40 years later....Millenials are the ones with the "job jumper" rep.
Damn man.Oh how the mighty have fallen....Car Salesman. The most despised profession going. By far the most un-trusted profession going. I thought you were better than that. Have you actually looked into what will be required of you to do this "job". Ask any person off of the street what they think of a car salesman, and that is how you will be viewed. I hope you can live with that. I would not. Good Lord, you have far far better skills than to sink to this level of debauchery. Yikes.....
