Craigslist Interaction...am I Right Or Wrong On This?

Simple rules for craigslist that helps weed out the idiots.

If you text or emails start the conversation with "Hey Joe and finish with your name"
If you don't I will NOT reply (and really don't reply, likely they are advanced bots or morons, either way you don't want to work with them)
It's for sale until you pick it up, sorry too many no show's.

Honestly, if I want something, I get in the car and go get it, right now.

I'm used to operating in the world of pinball machines on craigs, if they are priced right, literally you need to get in the truck right this second and go get it. If not, someone else will...

I am having my very own craigslist fun right now. Listed my stock HO engine with the stand it is bolted to, intake to oil pan, injectors, MAF, factory headers and flywheel included. I have had the usual scam text/emails, texts/emails asking me if I would part it out (short block only), and now my first no show this afternoon. Always a good time.

Here's my thing with Craigslist- I've got no ill will against low ballers, as long as they aren't douche bags about it. You can't get a smoking deal on something if you don't ask.

Now, if they try to argue with me why my asking price is twice what they think it's reasonable... They can GTFO. I had a lady send me all sorts of aggressive texts because she thought my $300 asking price for a treadmill was too much. I was at maximum smug when I was able to let her know that someone else bought it at asking price.

All I get from CL: "Is it still available"?
Ad clearly states: "Don't ask if available. Ad will be removed when item is no longer available."

Could add this, but probably won't help.
"You will get no response if you ask."

This is when you create an email address just for your listed ads. That email account should be setup to auto-generate a response. Something to the effect of:

Hello and thank you for looking at and responding to my ad! *high fives, hoola hoops, confetti and marching band*

I'm sending this email to let you know that I've received your request and will respond within XX time.

blah blah blah
a little more blah

If you sent an email asking a question already in the ad, please do not anticipate a response. If I have the ad still listed then it is currently available. My "bottom dollar" is what I've listed.

blah blah blah

Thank You,
//signed//

See, I also have no beef with this. To me it's just another way of saying, "Hello. I am interested in the flux capacitor you have for sale."
