Progress Thread My centrifugal ppl, how’s this deal?

Ok guys need some help here tryin to figure out what I need for these and if so are these sensors the ones I’m needing. Gonna get the stock intake off and get my gt40 and valve covers on along with my 70 tb, do the smog delete now that I have the pulley, and clean up all that crap out and plug the thermactor holes for the time being until I gather up some more cash for my TFS 190s

Just ordered the dual contour fans with the flex controller 31165. I have looked all over for cfm info which I can’t find a true answer but have seen 3000 to 3300 cfm’s posted is that correct?

1st picture = Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECT) - This gives the computer the coolant temperature
2nd picture = Coolant Temperature Sensor - This is the sending unit for the instrument cluster for coolant temperature
3rd picture - Looks like someone used this for an aftermarket Mechanical Coolant Temperature Sensor
4th picture = Air Charge Temperature Sensor (ACT) - This gives the computer the temperature of the air entering the engine
5th picture - This can be blocked with a plug and isnt used

Cool thank you

Alright guys whomever else is rocking this setup, where do I begin with this, besides trimming the tabs @FoxMustangLvr I believe we are running the same set up down to controller. How did you mount the actual fans to the radiator and what all did you do to yours to get it going. Any pics etc would be great thanks in advance guys.

Idk what’s best to do? I was planning on deleting the smog and all the tubes, plug the holes in the back of the heads. I guess I don’t know the pros vs cons of keeping the egr vs deleting/block plate.

If you can delete the smog system then I would do it but the egr isn't really worth it unless there's a reason you want to do it.

So if I go 11r 190s which I’m thinking I just gonna stay with that option. On the lmr page it states it has a 7/16 rocker arm stud so id
Need to get 1.6 or 1.7 rockers that are 7/16 correct I couldn’t run 3/8. Also I have a pro m 80 cal’d For 60lb. Have any of you all used this sight tre performance and what are your opinions on these injectors? There are two sets not the genuine Siemens but the look alikes ev6 style but one states 10ohms and the other is 12.4 ohms which I have no idea what that means but just seeing what you all thought about these. I kinda like the ev1 shorty style Siemens? Looking for opinions. Goal is my Gt40 intake w/ 70mm tb, 60lb injectors with pro m 80, 190 tfs heads, 1.6 rockers stud style, and eventually a power adder just not sure which I want to go with since I’m debating. I also have a brand new aeromotive 340 fuel pump in the garage I picked up for 70 bucks which I couldn’t pass on. I guess I need new push rods and maybe the pistons TF makes for their twisted wedge heads but not sure on that. It’s a slow parts gather but I just want it all already. I’ll be installing the new radiator and fans as well as the intake, valve covers and tb, but I big part of me wants to say F it while I have the intake slap the injectors on and heads but big problem is I don’t have those lol. Is it a big hassle to have to remove the valve covers and intake again say if i waited later to get heads and install them? As far as oil, mess and time consumption goes? I guess I’m impatient and want to get things going but I think it would also suck to have to put things on just to have to take them back off and redo everything.

@Reddevil91 ,
Put the crack pipe down bro!!! Stay away from the 60# injectors until the moment that the engine requires it. Your 19# injectors will be just fine with the added intake and TB. You should just wait until you have your entire HCI ready to go so you can do all these steps at once. Patience is important in order to get it correct. Only use injectors and fuel pump that is sufficient for what your CURRENTLY running.

As far as the fans go. Trim tabs like you mentioned. I ran small small diameter black hose that I cut open around the perimeter of the fan shroud to help seal it to the radiator. To attach the fans I used a very unpopular method, radiator zip ties! They work just fine for me. I'll get you some pic's in a moment if I can find some on my work computer.

I'm not sure what your overall build goals are but 60lb injectors may be over kill. Stock short block with cam of choice, 190 11r heads and gt40 intake with shorty headers n/a should be able to use 24lb injectors I would think.

What are you going to use for tuning this setup? Not sure how the computer is going to like 60lb injectors on that stock computer even with a calibrated MAF.
That’s a good question! I have a friend who uses sct and said he could burn a chip for me to tune it. Now I have no clue on any of this tune stuff, what I need etc etc. I’ve seen ppl talk about the A9L is that something I need or is that a stock computer that our Cars already have?
