Progress Thread “Rising from Ashes 2” 95 Saleen S-351 build

Seems so odd someone would Un-Saleen this car back to a standard GT.

Didn't Saleen use their own Caster / Camber plates? They changed the suspension back to stock? That red sway bar looks like an ADCO, Steeda and Saleen sold these.

Saleen did offer caster camber plates. However a lot of their cars still came with stock ones unless the person buying the car ordered them on there. This car does not list caster camber plates so it wasn’t optioned with them. It still has the racecraft red springs and struts/shocks. The sway bars are also Saleen equipped. This car also had a panhard bar, subframe connectors and a torque installed but not by Saleen

Next step is to dump the cheap cowl hood somebody put on this car and get the hood it should have. Even though this car came from Saleen with a regular GT hood, I’m upgrading it to a Saleen Heat extractor hood which was the hood some 94-98 Saleens were optioned with.

Another Saleen piece this car didn’t originally come with but I’ve sourced a NOS one to go on the car. If your gonna build a vert, this tonneau cover is a must have. This car did come with the saleen light bar but I also have a SA-20 light bar which is shorter. Not decided which I’ll use on this car

Lol! That’s funny.
The green mustang is a customer car that’s in the que to be built. It will not be staying neon green lol!

The guy who built my engines back in the day had a Mustang in the same Muppet Green. I believe it's actually Kawasaki Racing Green, or something like that. The car was in the February 2002 MM&FF. I have no problem with the color. That's how you get in Magazines, paint it Muppet Green, or Orange. I was just curious about the car.
