Progress Thread 43 years later

I thought that was a ELO song. I am glad I missed those hairdos.
EDIT: Chicago had some 70’s and 80’s special hair that I was blocking out of my memory.

Here is a question for the Mustang II crew. Do you dress in period appropriate clothing for car shows, with bell bottoms and that scarf or the gold chain and open shirt 70’s Corvette owner look?

Some of the hot rod crew over do the 50’s thing. I already wear jeans and polos, so I’m ready if I need to dress period appropriately for a Fox body at a show. The preppy look would be easier than a garage band mullet. :rlaugh:

Look at that nice layer of surface enhancer!
The scoop all hand made metal now right?

gonna be so sweet!
This was a hit when car still smelled new

I attached the fiber glass ones over the old bumper frames so still heavy but safer in the real world

I get it. I did the same. these are just the vinyl/rubber outsides. Which looked good for 44 years old. I also am re-using the chrome strips down the middle on the new fiberglass ones. I had to pay the extra to get the steel replaced for the rear as it was rusted to dust.
@extra_stout are you still interested?

Update for today Drying in the sun.

Time to go fishing.

Funny you should say that. I did not want to piss him off, but I was thinking the same thing. Its not too late to paint it blue of some kind. After seeing that blue one last month I was hooked on blue. Especially considering its being done so nice. You can see its going to be a new car finish why not some flake. Old school , one of a kind. Nice car Enzio why not double the nice. Somebody who knows how to put a picture up, needs to. That blue on the four wheel ll minus the flames.

I spoke to them about painting the whole car black with gold flake and leaving the stripes just black. They'd be more than happy to do so. It'd be there all winter and cost double. Right now they are just loaded up with cars behind me. (see Camaro in the background of pictures 5 and 6) I got bumped by that guy once already. If I did blue flake I'd want the flames too.
I'm packing to go fishing.

At least your thinking flames. What fresh water fish do you catch and eat.
Just about all of them. I target walleyes. But if there's something showing up on the fish finder and they're hungry I'll eat them too.
Walleye, Sauger, perch, pike, crappie, sunnies, burbot, and bass. I don't usually eat bass.

Thanks for the reminder @74stang2togo! I forgot you asked about this @Enzio: here's my setup. The manifold comes with a plate that mounts to the manifold that the bracket then mounts to. It's not easy to see in these pics, but I think you can make it out. One of the screws that holds that plate is under the throttle cable bracket.
