Progress Thread 89 Smoke Gray coupe build thread

Wondering what you thought of the UPR setup up front. Was there any reason you got rid of the UPR coilovers other than MM being better? Where the UPR's worn out, where they a harsh ride, did you install the UPR's in the first place? thanks.
The UPR coilovers were ok, nothing really bad to say all in all. The older Tokico blues were probably the largest contributor to the sub-par ride quality. Bilstein struts and correct front spring rate for the rear TA springs just yielded a better overall ride & feel.

Well, it took almost exactly a year from the MM K member install post to find the time and motivation to get the MM panhard bar and torque arm installed, but I did it! I got tired of waiting on a set of extra hands and bought a couple of under-hoist stands, Irwin clamps, and reworked my 2x4 cribbing to accommodate my needs. Wee bit sketchy at times, but it worked!

I hope you didin't buy those 2x4's during covid.....
I did actually! but....I got most of the for free as they were previously used for staging an office trailer at my work. Just so happened they moved the trailer out, left them behind, and were already the right size for a car tire!

Cars looking great. You've doing everything MM suspension-wise i'd like to do. Where did you get the seat foam to redo the seats?
Thank you! I got everything from LMR for the seats.

My heart skipped a beat when i saw the cribbing. Then i saw the lift
LOL, I can't deny that it was still a bit nerve racking to put the full weight of the car on just the rear stands to set pinion angle! I kept the lift VERY close to the car.
