Took some pics, i do really own a mustang...

I had my 6 year old help. All he had to do was hold the door in place as it hung since i wrapped and sized the length of the strap so it was as neutral as possible. It actually went better than I expected.

I also used better cutting discs for my dremel like these.
They are notably better than the little quarter size ones that need a screw to hold them in and then they explode.

Cut them once or more so they can be wiggled, then push them out the top and the bottom. It's not going to be as easy I make it sound, but it will work.

Coupe rear quarter glass were first offered in 2019 but there were quality issues. Last I heard (2022) they had fixed the issues like the studs not being 100% in the injection mold i.e. poor quality compared to NOS. These are Daniel Carpenter Reproductions that are Ford licensed. Difference is that the DCR's require the use of silicone and the studs are only used to locate the windows. Not ideal but if you do not have a set or cannot find a set this is what you have.

I had a set reconditioned by FoxResto but they sold the refurbishment part of the business to Quarter Horse Motorsports in 2023 (search FB and you will find them). I got mine done before they went up to $800 to do a set and after watching a few YouTube reviews of the DCR windows I am glad I paid to have them refurbished. They are in storage and will go on the car when I get it repainted some years down the road.

Don't get me wrong the DCR units look amazing but I don't know about the whole silicone thing. I would say this is a money thing and since DCR is under the Holley umbrella that does not surprise me as they outsource to the lowest bidder anymore.

This guy on YouTube has a very thorough review of them and there are some good comments below the video:

So we can still get the originals redone at Quarter Horse for a Hatch?
I had a local yard set aside a couple cores for me, but then i saw that foxresto stopped doing them, so i never picked them up.
I'm sure i can still get another set.

The whole silicone thing doesn't bother me. I know when i was looking at work vans, i wanted rear and side rear Pside glass. Turns out that the rear windows on the van are just siliconed in and so is the blank panel on the Pside sliding door.

The Coupe windows silicone in. Not sure about the hatch units.

I would contact Quarter Horse Mustangs via Facebook and see if they are restoring the hatch units.
Ok, i'll shoot them a message from my Wife's account, i'm not big on Facebook.

It was kinda odd, i waited like a year for foxresto to send the email that they were doing the hatch quarters, then by the time i was getting around to grabbing a set of donor glass, it was already over and they weren't doing them.

I think you always could get them for a notch (well you have been for a while), they are more expensive, probably because they are licensed (or at least i'm assuming it's licensed).
I would pay the $700 to get hatch quarters with the mustang logo in them.
It's more like $1k for like new driver's hatch quarter window. You will not find a new passenger window. In the 6 months or so that I looked, a fella had an NOS I believe he wanted $2k for. Ended finding a 8.5-9 of 10 for a few hundred, but I was first & I was lucky.

Black Jack is getting restored/touched up trim from Greg Kaminski. I don'tremember what I paid, but it was a lot of work for maybe $350 or so? Think his FB name is Greg Kski.

I have a pretty decent spare driver's side window, now, from all the hunting I was doing. The ones on Black Jack are pretty tore up from glued trim covers, but if anyone thinks they could do anything with em, they'd be free.

Made by two different vendors as well.

The coupe ones are made by Daniel Carpenter. The Hatch ones are made by Scott Drake. DC has the Ford licensing for the logos and such, while SD does not.

No idea why DC doesn't make the hatch ones.

Guy on the '93 CObra FB group has a set of hatch windows for sale for $2.5K right now.
