96 mustang gt

Let me start by say'n I think the immobilizer may not be the issue.
start with a new key, this takes the old key out of the equation, it prolly will not work after, fallow the instructions intently.
Let me ask here, does the fuel pump prime with the old key?

The immobilizer is what got broken as it was running fine before that. The fuel pump primes with all the keys.

Once you get this fixed and it's been long enough to chuckle about it, you should name the car, "The Immobilizer". :jester:
Funny thing is I haven’t named it yet. Here’s some pics from when I first got it.

Update: finally got my sct Livewire tuner connected to the mustang. Uploaded a preloaded tune just to test it before buying a email tune. Now the tuner and my obd2 scanner are getting power from the obd2 but no communication from it. Any ideas? Fuses are all good. At this point should I just buy a 96 crown Vic ECM for it since they don’t have PATS and just lose my keyless entry?

Interesting, was just thinking if the Crown Vics ECU would be looking for signals from sensors the mustang doesn't have, or vice versa. I don't know anything about swapping ECUs.

Me either lol that’s why I’m hoping someone can give me insight on it. I heard switching them out to bypass pats will disable my alarm system and my key fob but that’s all I know of.
