Been busy lately, got the old single exhaust and 4 lug 7.5 diff out and installed the rebuilt 8.8 and dual exhaust. It now has maximum motor sports lower control arms and 2002 bullit rear springs. I love how the 2.25 inch duals looks.
Front end is together and on the ground. I used the bumpsteer correcting tie rod ends. And started stripping the engine bay to remove the 4cyl turbo motor and paint the engine bay.
The harness needed a lot work. I did a quick repair to the harness and it ran ok. I bought it mainly because it wasn't beat up. I love the 302 and have had many 87-93 fox's. The 84 was a decent deal to make what I wanted. I know a lot of people wont like the swap but this car was rotting away in a garage after the previous owner spent alot on the fuel system to try and fix the issue. This version of "efi" is not that great.
Hopefully this weekend. I did get the hybrid park brake cables in for the fox to sn95 calipers. The park brake mechanism in the pre86 cars does not have a spring in it so its a direct bolt in with no modification to the lever. I also got the pass side hard line and stainless flex line in and mounted. Looking to finish up on pass side this weekend with more pics.
Nope, its fixed. I contacted LMR and explained what I had and what I was trying to do. The tech Iconversed with stated my set up only required the hybrid cables.
The kit for the drum to disc park brake cable conversion that LMR sells is only for the later foxbody's due to the spring and self adjusting mechanism they want welded in the later park brake handle. The earlier vehicles don't have that.
It is almost fully installed on my set up and ill try and post pictures this weekend.
I modified the fuel system and updated it. I removed the rail pump and wiring. I removed the resister on the ground side of the I tank pu.p to make it like the 87-93 mustangs. The splice for the resister as shown in the schematic is in the hatch area near the grommet for the pump.
