If you are a scotch enthusiast, then I would say you should splurge once. It’s a very unique, rich taste, but not one id go for more than once really. It’s very Woody and has strong aroma

Comes in a nice display. It was hard to find in my area and I actually ended up getting it for less than retail after a good chunk of time searching.

I told my buddies that I’ll keep the bottle and case when this is done and just buy a bottle of 15 and pour it in.

Current lineup (not including the illicit). While I’m a Glen fan, I’ll drink any of the major scotch brands.

I’d love to try a Macallen 25 one day.

Hijacking Dave’s thread but I know he’s a Glen guy too.

I think Macallen tastes almost the same as Johnny Walker. I don’t really care for JW. I had a bottle of their blue label, it was a really smooth version of that flavor I don’t like, lol.

Now, the GL 25?! I sincerely want to try that. It runs in the $400 area, doesn’t it?

$450ish. I was just searching for a bottle locally and it seems harder to find now.

Glen 21 is $350ish. I’ve yet to try it.

I used to be a scotch guy. I wandered out of my lane a while back and got into good tequila and never looked back. It’s different, but man, good tequila drinks better than and scotch, bourbon, etc that I’ve ever had previously.

I was gifted some JB Devels Cut and didn’t have high hopes for it, but I was very impressed. For a $26 bourbon it’s really smooth and has great flavor.

I agree I want to get something for special occasions. I’ve also been looking at the Macallens.

Ever tried Aberlour? I have a bottle of the 12 and put it up there with the some of the nicer Glenlivets in taste and smoothness.

I’ve seen it, but have not had a glass yet.

Oban 14 is a good one as well. Prob my second choice after Glen 12/15 if looking for something to drink casually.

I save the good stuff for when I’m hanging out with a few buddies who also like scotch

I’ve been a chiefs fan for decades. We lived in KC back when they come up from Dallas. So losing is something I have a vague familiarity with.

Meaning, no big deal. There’s next year to look at.

The Lady is slowly turning me into a wino. I rarely drink anything strong any more. It's glasses of wine and charcuterie trays. She's a wine manager though. It's what she does for a living. She gets paid to drink. They call it wine " tasting ".

Wine took a long time to grow on me. It's not my go to, but now I throughly love a glass of good wine. My guilty pleasure is a good red. I don't care so much for the sweet stuff unless it's a good port or ice wine.

Hey @Noobz347 , maybe instead of making this a build thread we could assign it to a new classification “Drunken Thread”.

What do you think?

When I started consuming alcohol I really didnt' like the taste of beer ( hard to imagine now) My "dealer" ( I was underage) bought me some cheapy wine at the "supermarket" to try out one friday night.... Spent most of night behind an old service station blowing chunks into a Dumpster... It was at least a decade before I had wine again...
