Uh---ohhh. 5.4L in Hach Job?? :SNSign: What are you guys trying to do to me?? You just want more project threads to look at. :grouphug:

I actually though about how easy it would be to swap a 03-04 Cobra motor and trans in Hack Job now. Everything that need to be fabbed is done. I also thought about how hard it would be to legally get my hands on that entire set-up/donor car. I let one slip between my fingers 1 month ago. Some day...some day. It's just a matter of time.

Yeah it's an FX4. The box is outside. With the mess this thing is creating we needed it out of our way. It has a small crack in the right front bed side on the bottom, but we're not fixing it. It's just a truck, just a DD.

Thanks....okay...updates updates updates...SHE RUNS!!!!!!!!!

We ended up sliding the 5.4L motor trans, t-case, suspension, axle and frame from the parts truck under the cab of our 4.6L truck. The only thing we changed was the gas tank from our 4.6L truck and that is only because the parts truck already had the gas tank cut out....(We have to by law before they go into the yard). We retained the original wiring in the cab the 4.6L compupter, interior etc...and it fired up perfectly. Now it's just gonna get bolted back up and then we'll have to straighten the core support and put together all the front end peices etc. I don't know man, this was pretty fast, I want to buy more trucks like this. Now we have the 5.4L which even though has more miles, it's cleaner, and more powerful.

Boy if we ever sell this truck, and they take it somewhere to get work done, they're really gonna screw up those mechanics. We don't plan on selling it though, it's gonna be a driver for a few years. Of course, we'd disclose this when selling, but it's not like it's gonna be worth a ton of money either. Most of our customers don't care, they just want nice trucks that are dependable. I'll get picks up tomorrow...my camera is at home.

haha...well I don't feel old. I still feel like the things that happened when I was 18-20 happened just recently. I have no problem going out with younger people. They are the ones who want to do stuff. All my older friends don't ever want to do anything.

Last week I mailed out $230.40 to the city because they replaced 3 peices of sidewalk in front of my house. Gee thanks....there was nothing wrong with them, and you just cost me a bunch of money. That could have paid for some of my clutch for the Cobra!!! I wish I still lived at home.

Nothing wrong with that. It's tough out there man. Look at GM and Chrysler now with the merger talk. If that happens, 35,000 people in MI are going to lose their jobs. I think we've already lost about 450,000 jobs in MI. (Thanks Granmole.)
