I forgot to mention the other deal my buddy can get me. 08 gt500 wheels with eagle f1 tires for 900 bucks from the ford dealer. the ones that customers swap for other wheels. I was wondering since those tires are gonna go quick if I should get them and if I would be able to put tires with better tread wear on them like the lower end goodyear Eagle GTs

Stock 07-09 GT500 wheels are 9.5" wide. What alot of people don't realize is there are 2 different versions of the F1's. A so-so version on the GT500 and a good version on the GT500KR's. The stock GT500 tire sizes are 255/45/18 front & 285/40/18 rear. I don't think Goodyear makes regular Eagle GT's in either of those sizes.

well Its either I save up 900 and get it and then when I need new tires get the Nittos NT555's because they come in 255-45-18 on all four tires, but I also go up to the mountains...and since Im in college and working a minimum wage job plus practically every chore and yard work around the house. My dads paying the monthly payments. and he doesnt want me to change the rims even though I am going to keep the car. the CS is my favorite version of the mustang and the 05-09 body style is my 3rd'ish favorite style next to the 71 hatches and fastbacks. But IDK do you think im passing up a great deal? my dad came to terms when I got home. but I dont have 900....only 500, 2 brand new Nittos for 50 each from my same friend form his car. and buy 2 others from americas tire..Im confused. my tires now have 5k miles left on them. its coming up quick.

I paid 900 for my new take-off 08 GT500 wheels and tires a couple years ago. If you need tires, I would say get the nittos now then save up for the rims. 50 each for nittos is a GREAT deal.

theyre 18x9.5, 285/40/18s in the back and 255/45/18 in the front...theyre ridiculously awesome...My buddy put them on his stang. with the eagle f1 supercar tires. I just honestly dont have that kind of money to spend right htis moment and the dealer has limited supply.
