1/4 Mile time analysis software

Would anyone be interested in this?

Would anyone here use web based software to store their 1/4 mile times, 60' times, trap, etc, and perform analysis on it? Just curious if anyone here would be interested in something like this, if it were free, as a way to guage their mods and driving techniques.

wow, never really thought about it from that angle.

I have never worked with swf manipulation, but I've done work with gdlibrary, I could do it with that, but I have a sneaking suspicion flash would be much better for this purpose.

I will be using php/mysql for the project. I've written up a data model for it, and roughly sketched out an architecture, but really havent put pen to paper yet.

If I decide to take on this project, it will be free to use, and I'll share the code with other developers if they want to add on modules and stuff. This could be a really fun and cool project for the winter time when we can't race!!

ok, well here is the plan. I will get to work on it, and have a rough version up this summer. I will keep all your data and guard it with my life and build a really good set of software this winter, and like I said, it will be free.

I should point out that by trade I am a software developer, and do mostly analytic software, so you know this stuff will be good. I will make it so we can analyze every bit of what we are doing, and if anything this will improve our tribal knowledge and put the stangs ahead of everyone else on the track.

As I said, this will be free. If I ever get a wild hair and decide to charge for this stuff, the initial stangnet members will always be free of charge, because I like to keep promises in that respect. But most likely this will evolve into a nice free service that will help to improve our times.

Imagine if we can see the effects of certain things, such as using the water box or not, engine temp, tire pressure, etc. Some people like jordan who have almost 300 time slips could really use this kind of thing to track and analyze what we're doing (like he needs help with times, but anyway) and we can graph it out and get technical.

I will get to work on this, and have a good beta version up that I will post here. I will make it as user-friendly as possible, so non computer nerds can benefit as well. Lets kick some ass!
