Hey guys, I've always ran the quarter mile but this weekend the track i usually go to had something wrong with the track so I they only ran 1/8th mile. Anyways, here are the specs for my best run previous to that night and my best run from this weekend. This weekend I ran some used slicks and ran a short belt, those are the only differences. Other mods are in the sig. What do you think my new 1/4 mile ET would be? An online calc. put it at 13.98. Does that sound close

Previous Best
60 ft--2.1780
1/8 ET--9.4920
1/8 MPH--75.77
1/4 ET--14.5992
1/4 MPH--95.93

New Best
60 ft-1.9720
1/8 ET--8.9390
1/8 MPH--81.36

Launched the car at about 4300 w/13 psi in both tires, shifted at about 5. Its a gain of about a 0.5 s and 6 mph. I was pretty happy.

Somewhere around 14 flat according to that 1/8 time. Does it stop pulling at 5? I'd wind it out a bit more than that.

Thats a 14 flat, possibly 13.99 time. Thats very damn good w/o gears, even though you had to have been on some decent tires lol. 3.73s and that'll plant that car well into the 13s.

ya, I have 3.73's, the tires are actually a Hoosier dirt track tire made from a soft compound that I was able to pick up for $10 a piece and throw on some 10-holes.

About the shift point, previously the car would run better times if i shifted a little before five, the new taller tires may affect that. This is the first time I've only run an 1/8 mile too so that took some getting used to.
