Okay maybe not. But hey I can dream!

Tonight I ran my 14 second '94 Cobra with a 100 shot of Nitrous and got a 13.29 @ 107.6 mph 2.1 60'

I have pulleys, exhaust, MAF and 3.55 gears. What's the next step to get closer to that 12.99 or is that the best I can expect out of my setup? Can I improve my driving 3 tenths?

Thanks!!

Make that 2.1 60' a 1.9 60' and you got your 12.9...the mph is there easy, just need to hook.

Get some drag radials and get 'er done.

Did you do all the weight reduction tricks? If you search these forums there are tons of them. Rule of thumb is that every 100 pounds lost is a tenth gained. Also, were you running with lower pressure in the back tires and slightly higher in the front? I bet you can break into 12s if you put the car on a diet and shave even a tenth off your 60.

They are right, knock that 60' down a few tenths and you are there. I ran a 12.73 at 107 with a 1.7 60', so you definitely got the MPH for it.

Yep just get a little traction in your 60's and your car is more than capable of a 12.99 easy. You prob spun 1 & 2 and got a little hook in 3 Nice run.

Drag radials should definitely get you into or very close to the 12's. My brother has a 94 lightning with a vortec s-trim and drag radials cut his et from 13.5 to 13.2. I'd say get the d/r's run em with about 15-17 psi and your there!

Woo-hoo! I'm pretty excited about it. I went from 14.14 @ 99.6 to 13.29 @ 107.6.

So a 1.9 60' is realistic with DR's on my car? My car is full street trim, with the exception of the spare tire removed. I also had a half tank of gas.

I was able to run a 2.089 60 ft with dr's and that is with my limited mod's and an AODE. 1.9 60 ft's should be no sweat with that 100 shot.

I was cutting LOW 1.7's with a completely STOCK suspension... this was even before I added the LCA's. This was on a nitto 245-50-16 DR. Heck, I was cutting 1.91 60's with the stock motor and 3.73's. You should have NO problem getting 1.8's with your setup. The 1.7's take some practice. I have since run a best of 1.66 on DR's, but they are 315's.

I have Nitto DR's on the cars but I can't do a brake stand. Will I be wasting my time doing a rolling 2nd gear burnout on Nitto DR's?

Have you tried to use the water? And have you praciticed your burnouts ahead of time? My brother had the same problem because he was never really into just roasting his tires for the hell of it. But then when he got to the track and needed to do it he couldnt. I would say find someplace to practice your burnouts ahead of time so you have your technique ready for the track. I dont have that problem since my car is an auto. But my brother was just like you and the rolling burnouts he did weren't getting his d/r's hot enough.

I would try and get that car to run faster N/A before worrying about the Juice.

Mid 13's should be no problem for that car with Dr's

While you're putting on your CAI, might as well get a C&L 76mm or Pro-M 77mm air meter. 5spd or AOD? You could probably pick up a tenth with some good power shifting. Have another 5spd on standby if you've never power shifted before (or at least a set of rings and blockers). It took 3 rebuilds before I really got the hang of it. But once you've figured it out, 'it's like riding a bike'

thast a horrible rule of thumb

everyperson has a different length thumb

Id say a 12.9 is attainable on your current tires and 12.7 on drag radials
