I have Nitto DR's on the cars but I can't do a brake stand. Will I be wasting my time doing a rolling 2nd gear burnout on Nitto DR's?

put nittos to 15 psi

drive around water,
back into water box
tap he gas and spin the tires a split second and roll out of the box
put it in second
hold the rpms about 4k
pop the clutch and sidestep onto the brake pump the gas until they are nice and hot
let off the brake and let the tires fight for grip
dont go past the staging light!

watch the vid if you are a visual learner :D

i dont think he should be power shifting on the bottle :nice:

I've never sprayed, so I wouldn't know about that.

What's the concern with powershifting on the bottle? It'll probably be obvious once you explain it, but I'm a little too tired to figure it out at this point.

Thanks.

BTW, got any dyno #s with those times. Best I've managed was 13.51 @ 104 with a 1.9 60' at 3580#. That's 280 RWHP & 306 RWTQ at CrazyHorse.

it really is obvious that you're tired :D here's a quick quiz, what do you think will happen if he misses a gear while on the bottle?

OOOOHHHHH!!!

In case it's not obvious for someone:

If I recall correctly, the factory rev limiter removes fuel while maintaining spark. That's bad enough N/A. It'd probably be really bad on spray.

That hadn't occurred to me because I've had the rev limiter chipped out for so long.

If I got a window switch, I could powershift with the Nitrous but I don't feel comfortable doing that. I got my 14.14 with powershifting. I really do need to work on my lauch and the burnout.

246 / 290

and about spraying... he needs to learn to power shift on the motor.....

power shiftng n the bottle, when the clutch is in, the motor will rev really fast on the bottle and will want to bang the limiter easier.

hitt9ing fuel cut will cut fuel and continue to spray nitrous and POP

ah... you have a window switch, so it will shut it off before fuel cut :nice:
