Hey guys I'm looking to get some Weld Pro Stars that will have some MT ET Streets mounted to them but I'm new to the 99-2004 GT (used to have a Fox).
will the 15's even fit and what back spacing will I need to get and should I get 8 inch or 10 wide wheels? please help I'm going wheel shopping this weekend... thanks a lot guys

The V6 and GT Mustangs came with the same brakes and the V6 had 15" and 16" wheel options along with the 17" GT wheel option. So a 15" wheel will fit stock V6/GT brakes. I don't think 15" rims will clear the larger Cobra rear brakes and I am sure they wont clear the larger Cobra front brakes. If you aren't worried about upgrading the brakes then you just need 15" rims with the correct back spacing and you should be fine. Just measure the backspacing on your current rims.
