I a thinking about getting 15x8 styled steel wheels. I would like to put 225/50 on it. Will it fit without rolling the fender lips, and will it stick out from the wheel well? Any pics would be appreciated. Thanks

65stangCT - This will clear many problems...I just got some styled steel wheels made from Stockton wheel. 15 x 8 with 4.5 inches of backspace. We did a 235/60/15 and everything is perfect. The tire clears the leafs by about 1/4 of an inch, and it is pretty flush to the wheel wells. Probably the same clearance with the fender wells. I would recommend a 245/50 or 60/15. to fit perfect. A 255 or 265 would be the maximum width with rolled fenders. So i hope that helps, and good luck.

would that be the same if i had a 9" rearend? this wheel stuff keeps on confusing the heck outta me! LOL :D

The BS remains the same if you upgrade your 8 to an 9 inch PROVIDED you put a nine inch rear end that is the same width as your 8 inch.

some people put in the versialles 9 inch rear end which you can relatively easily install in either a 65-6 ot 67-8 mustang...the only problem is its shorter in one and longer in the other.

was looking those wheels up, and the largest backspacing i could find is 4" on the torq thrust d's and of the torq thrust ii's in that size (15x8). and i've seen a million mustangs with those wheels, so are you sure i'll need 4.5" with those models of wheels?

*wheels are confusing* lol
