Mike - I have about the most mismatched combo of parts ever. I just bought everything as I could afford it, nothing thinking about a final goal, and now I REALLY wish I could get all my money back and spend it all over again.
I wouldn't want to screw around with an RPM manifold without a cam swap as my cam is pretty soft around 1500-1700 RPM. I think the Exploder upper is helping it retain a little bit of low-end, which I do like.
I thought about a 4.30 gear but I don't want to try to over-gear the car to make up for the mismatch in parts. My whole deal now is just trying to make the car run a good number.
I have a feeling that once I get the shiftpoints down and a good tune, the car could surprise a few people with all the "bad" parts that are on it - C&L meter, shorty headers, 3.73's, GT40 manifold, etc.
