If they are strictly street tires, can't you run something narrower in the front, like maybe 255s, if you're worried about clearance? Also, the overall diameter of the 18" tires shouldn't be bigger than the 17" tires.

I think the 18s look good. For those wheels, I'd go with 18s.

Sure, but then i lose the ability to rotate the tires, plus i didnt do all that work up front to run dinky little tires

Have not read all the replys, don't wanna hurt feelings....but 17" Saleen wheels are the ugliest wheel ever. They did not design that wheel in a 17 to look good, the spokes are too wide, too short, it's terrible.

18" Saleens on foxes are BADASS.

The 17's i have seen are completely scaled down, not like they just shrunk parts of it. Im gonna compare them and see which i like better, but at this moment probably 18's the 17's are 200 a set more

They are wayyyy scaled down, yes.

The 17's are more??? Damn! You'd think they'd be less. Well, this is a no-brainer then. 17's look like $hit and they're more expensive??? WTF?

NT05's are also $175 cheaper per set with the 17's over the 18's

Yeah, 18" tires are a joke, but he 17's are still ugly. LOL. As much as we drive our cars....what the hell... The tires will last for years.

I had the same pair of front tires on the front of my 96 Cobra for the entire 7 years I had it. My buddy kept them on it for the whole first year he had it, took them off and gave them back to me. I'm using them on ModFox!!!:rlaugh:

Rears....well, that depends how you drive. :nice:

I burn turns, so they all go quickly. But considering its too hot here 70% of the year you may be right. Found them in a 36mm offset for $520, no bad, just wished they had polished and not chrome. Guess i know what im going with hope they fit.

I say 18x9's. Im running the saleen wheels at 18x9 at all 4 and my fenders are punched out 1"3/4 all around...and I like how they ended up. however, im running the 24mm offset @ all 4"s and I was happy with the fit without any spacers. I think you"ll like the look shoalin....the only thing I don't like about the 18's is the stupid price jump in rubber 17's vs 18's.....either way, you have a good lookin car and I think either size will look great

what sidewall?

Don't lie to yourself Shaolin, this is what you want:

donk.webp

im runnin 275/35/18/KDWII's up front, and 295/35/18 BFG DR's out back with quad shocks unflipped....no pounding of the inner fenders either. The only time I think 18's look horrible is when the car is not lowered enough. The 18's can make our cars look a little tall, but with your coil overs, you can bring the car down to where it will look great!

Are you going to use these wheels on the track? I would imagine yes? If so, I say 17's all day so you can run a 40 side wall. I think a 40 series sidewall on a 18 would look goofy...18's need 35's
