Are you going to use these wheels on the track? I would imagine yes? If so, I say 17's all day so you can run a 40 side wall. I think a 40 series sidewall on a 18 would look goofy...18's need 35's

Nah, im keeping my cobras for the track, i just hate the look of no sidewall on any tire. But i keep seeing 17" saleens now and really cant tell the difference between the 18's when looking at them so i may just go with those...

Ok I voted 17's....The 18's shown previously look good...but some angles remind me of a toy car with out of proportion rims. I guess I am partial to 17's because that is what I just put on mine. I wanted a set that I could rotate from front to back so I went 17x9 with 245-45x17. I also wanted to stay the same diameter as my 275-50x15 drag radials so my speedometer would be accurate.

I thought there were many discussions in the past and people have stated that 17's were the biggest on a fox?

So flame away!!!

I actually used your car to photoshop the wheels onto my car, only reason your wheels looked off was the 24mm offset when they really need to be a 36mm offset. Unless they were 36mm offset then yeah they look off.

That been said, these are not for track wheels, they are street wheels, my cobras are going to be track wheels and i can guarantee that the saleens with NT05's 275/40/18's are gonna be heavier than the cobras i currently have. Another concern i have with the rims being larger is not clearing the modifications i made to pull the fenders out to fit the 275's with the MM k-member and forward offset control arms.

i thought it looked a bit familiar, couldnt put my finger on it, lol

yes, they are 24mm offset, and the fronts do stick out a bit (95 spindles). if i can get my motor fixed and afford a new set a wheels, theyre going to be either 17/18x8 with stock sn99 offset or x9's with a 30mm offset, even with the 245's and stock suspension i have rubbing problems (k-member too far forward, will be fixing if i can figure out the measurements i need).

if these are street wheels, why not just run a 255 all the way around? even with your suspension, i highly doubt you'd notice a huge difference just driving around on the street, plus it'll be easier to turn if you have a manual rack.

as far as 17's being scaled down, they are, but iirc actual saleen made a 17" version of these wheels too, or at least one of the sn wheels anyway. they still look a bit odd sometimes though, at least to me, especially when compared with an 18.

No manual rack, but like i said, i didnt do all that work on my car to fit 255's, one of the biggest conversation pieces with my car at car shows is to have some big o' honkin meats up front. As far as the 18's well, they look good but to me they look more off than the 17's do, not because of the rim size, but because of the car. Just a bit oversized. The rims i have now dont rub anywhere, all the appropriate modifications were made to fit the rims. No rubbing out back no rubbing up front, even with the 275's. If i can get my hands on the 17's for the same price as the 18's then i will. I believe my car will be able to pull them off. It just has that stance...

Alright, i talked to my buddy who sent over pics of his saleens which are 17" and i must say they look badass. He's going to come over next weekend and we're gonna toss them onto my car to see how they look.
