This is my own personal 65 T code coupe ,it has been setting on the rotisserie for about 5 years now ,time for a fast back conversion . This one will take me a while because i have to finish up some work first.
I ordered the sheet metal today and it should be here sometime next week . Sheet metal went up ,going to be around $4500 this time ,but there is more parts available than before so that added to it some . First thing will be to get it down off the rotisserie ,then start cutting it apart

Actually not that hard to do ,the problem is you need somthing to get the measurements from . The new metal is getting very good and fits very well

Reverse rumble seat ,since there are so many back seat drivers i thought they should set in the very front so they can navigate alllll they want

If they keep up the back seat / front rumble seat navigating , i promote them to secret service status ....and they get to run along side of the car

The trunk lid is the 66 version with the two big holes in the underbrace ,looks like a nice lid and it is heavy ,just have to wait to see how it fits. The trunk hinges and spring rod are available now so i bought them also

Here is a few thousand in parts ,although there is quarters for a 68 fast back ,and a roof for a 68 firebird and the lower back window panel i know this could cause more of a riot than when Trump took president ,but yes ,i am working on a GM

Nice ! At least the Firebird is American. Any inside word as to when Dynacorn will start selling the 65-6 fastback door frames in pieces instead of welded?

I had a little free time this morning so i decided to fit the ends into the quarters ,they were close but i want them perfect so i checked the fit with an end cap i clamped the end in place ,checked one more time with my end cap and spotwelded it in
I checked the end cap one more time ,driver side is good to go

Passenger side was right on ,i clamped in the end ,checked with my end cap and spot welded it in place . This spot welder gets hot ,and it weighs 30 pounds ,wouldnt want to run this thing all day long . The good thing about it is when you are done it is finished ,no grinding

Is a spot welder the preferred method for attach those to the quarter? This is one part of my coupe that needs serious attention. Wouldn't be surprised if I end up having to replace both quarters.
