We have been working on a couple of other projects so this one is on hold.

Sorry we have been working on the 67 Shelby GT500 and an Eleanor project from Ohio

We brought this back into the shop to start working on it again.

Brian removed the outer A pillar than sanded to bare metal and brushed some epoxy before replacing.

I sanded the roof than sprayed 2 coats of SPI black epoxy primer

Brian is starting the rust repair on the front frame rails.

Coming along nicely. Have you noticed a difference in how the cars "sound" with all of the metal primed on both sides? What I mean is, I would expect a more 'solid' sound to the car and less chassis noise. Is that the case?

Buddy doesn't like all the rust he sees in the front frame rails.

To replace the front of the frame rail the shock tower had to be removed. Brian drilled out all the spot welds.

He cut off the bad section than epoxy primed inside the frame rail and the new section

Brian plug welded a small piece of 2 x 2 box tubing on the top side of the frame rail leaving enough room to weld a nut on the new frame rail section for the lower crossmember.

Brian replaced the left frame rail section

Lining up the shock tower using the original drilled out spot welds for an alignment guide.

that same way i like to do towers use the bolt holes to line things up ,you can bolt it in place ,and using a montycarlo bar and an export brace you can easly square thing up and it holds every thing in place while you weld it up ,quick home made jig ,nice work guys

While your work is AMAZING, reasonably priced and worth every penny, I'm sure glad MY check book is not involved with this car! This is almost as scary as the 65 fastback!

The right front frame rail had a lot of rust

How do you get any work done when it appears that you spend a lot of time sweeping the floors?
