I am trying to remove the dash pad from my 1970 fastback.
The three screws that hold the dash down at the base of the screen appear to be under the dash pad so I can't unscrew them.
Is it possible a complete cover has been fitted over the dash with it still in place.
Looks like I might have to drill through the top of the cover to get to the screws.
Any ideas out there?

After years in the sun, it is not uncommon for the dash to kind of "swell" around those three screws. You just need a LOOONG phillips head screwdriver to be able to get to them. Like an 18 or 24 inch long screw driver. Makes it a lot easier. Don't screw them all the way out left to right, go about half way, and then go left to right again to remove them. They may not want to come out of the dash, until you get the pad out.

Thanks Guys, the pad (cover) is in good nick and the screw heads are not visible at all. The one above the glove box I was able to unscrew from below with my fingers and it is now clear of the metal clip but still under the pad cover from above.
There are dimples in the cover where the screws should be, guess I need to drill through cover to get to the screws heads.
