Not even Mike is that cold. Sorry to hear about that Mike. All that hard work and to come home to find it all wrecked. I can't imagine how incredibly frustrated you are..You gotta be S HITTIN ME!!!!!! My heart bleeds for you Mike......or is this some sick, twisted, late April fools joke?
Thanks. It is not the end of the world. The hinges,....I may just touch up the areas they contacted the ground w/ a small brush and dab some of the hardened paint in. The door handles,......they gotta be fixed. The exhaust tip,...It's the same. I was gonna have to mix up some paint, and respray the front shroud anyway,...what's the difference? I'm used to collateral damage, and do-overs on this car.Not even Mike is that cold. Sorry to hear about that Mike. All that hard work and to come home to find it all wrecked. The only salvation here was that this setback was "offset" with a small victory. I sold the Ranger at the same time. 5k just landed in my lap. Now I won't have to struggle to make it through this new job waiting period to get paid.
It's too bad that the Monster has every single thing bought for it though......I kinda need to console myself with a purchase.
You could buy me a new tvs blower for my build. You could buy the Summit portable paint booth and a couple bricks to help hold it in place![]()

You know, I hated the pavilion, right Mike?
Don't pay attention to what I said before, I hated it.
Really though man, that's gotta suck. At least it was just a few parts, did it mess up your bumper as well?
The paint pavillion would've still been a casualty though...I don't mean to sound like a dick here but I just have to tell this story as it's super relevant no matter how much this sucks...
My daughter was playing in the yard on Saturday and had left her things outside, I asked her to go clean it up so it didn't blow away in the impending storm. Well the storm came and went along with her toys... Gone, never to return again.
Moral of the story: If she just put her toys away we would have avoided all of these tears
Sorry Mike, thought it was relevant![]()
I gots no money....You could buy me a new tvs blower for my build.![]()

No, the bumpers were on stands,...as were the grille pieces and that.....thing that needed painting anyway. The cooler shroud.
The thing must've just took off right before I got home, because the damage was "one hit" only on all of the pieces that were hanging. They were still attached to the roof ribs, so they could've gotten dragged around some more if the sorry assed thing would've been blown any further.
If you really hated it, then this should bring you some satisfaction:

right before the trash man jammed all of that broke assed junk into the back of the garbage truck.
So, that brings me to here. I've got the discretionary funds to throw a hundred at materials at "mike's paint booth" and build the thing inside the garage that I was gonna have to build to finish the car properly.
I plan to do this:
At the front end, mounted high across the top will be space for (3) cheap box fans framed into that front wall. As low as my garage is, that will put those fans at about 5.5'-7' high off the floor bottom to top. I'd make the pans blow through "sealed" furnace filters.
The sides, and roof will be as you'd expect, but the rear is the tricky part.
I gotta find a way to make it so that the garage O/H door can function until such a time when I close it and it becomes the back wall of the booth.
I know that I'm gonna have to exhaust the three fans blowing into the booth so I was thinkin'...
I'm gonna temporarily remove the bottom section of the garage door, and make a boxed wood frame to take the place of that section. When the garage is in paint booth mode, the door will close on top of that box. 2/3 more box fans could pull through filters built into that frame to neutralize/balance/offset the pressure depending on fan speed. I'd have to make an inward swingin' man door to get in/out of the paint mixin room, and to get out of the thing. I'd do a dry run, get the fan speeds adjusted, and balanced and use an extension cord in the booth that I could plug/unplug to activate the ventilation.
If I do all of that, I just leave the painted stuff alone for now. I get the car body ready for paint, build mikes paint booth, I'd roll the body out, hang all of the small parts again (including the pieces with trash in them) and paint them. I'd probably cover the monster w/ a car cover, and just let him stay out over night until those pieces were dry enough to handle properly. Move those parts to a safe place, roll the body in, do a final wipe and tack, and paint him. He'd set there until the next opportunity for him to roll back out so I could make the necessary adjustments to accommodate the fenders/doors/ hood, and trunk and paint those.
The rub is accommodating all of that painted junk. and working around the weather If the monster is outside waiting for the big parts to dry, he's gonna have to sit till the next day off. That would be a minimum of two days outside. With no hood/no glass,no trunk.
It was just standing there.I have a question that I've been afraid to ask the past couple of days, but I can't stand it anymore...
Did you secure the Chateau d' when you put it up or was it just sitting on the pavement?
I can't do that, Mike. Have you read any of my threads in the past 6 years?Go ahead,...take your shots, it'll be the only opportunity to slap me, and I'll turn the other cheek.
I just like to dole out a good ribbing any chance I haveIt was just standing there.
I mean,..... there was no forecast of any wind, how was I to know? It's not like I'm some sort of weather Genius or anything.
That's two of you now.
You with your "told you so's"
First @84Ttop with his "relevant story" ( and this is his second time at that)
And now you, pointing out the obvious.
Go ahead,...take your shots, it'll be the only opportunity to slap me, and I'll turn the other cheek.

You were right, bad taste, stupid joke. I deleted it.Wtf perve.... lol
