I don't know what it is with me lately. Simple things (at least I think they should be simple) take forever.
I get home at 2:30 today, and I'm back in the garage by 3:00.
I start in earnest, trying to get the remaining nit-picky little details put to bed so I can start masking the thing for primer.
It's was the masking that I under estimated. That process took too long today. That, and I ran out of tape. I got the trunk, rear tail light openings, the rear window, and the quarter windows done before the tape ran out.
Since the driver side quarter was bare metal, I rattle canned it in etching primer.
I think the quarters are straight. The rear most quarter extensions at the top are gonna be a challenge. You can see the line where they are welded on, and the body line gets all wonky. That piece is made from 5 pieces of steel that are all butt welded together. The fit is good almost every where but where it matter most. I'm hoping that as the primer starts to build that I can make the line, and wonkiness disappear.

I have found that the guide coat will tell all. I did all my bodywork put in the yard!
Had to cover the primer in something that would not let moisture through, gloss rattle can anything worked well. Just enough to cover the primer. The nice thing about the gloss is you can see every imperfection and wonky line.... give it a try.

Your damn cats always sneak their way into the shots. Do you really have that many of them? Pretty sure 5 or 6 have died and come back in various stories.

That is the same one that got sucked into the radiator two years ago. (Mrs. Wee) I only have two cats, (Mrs Wee, and Reggen of 9). Both use the great outdoors as a cat box. When they come inside, the one in the picture eats, and disappears back outside again. The other one is mine. He is always around, but like me, must be camera shy.
He's "That Reggen". He hangs out more in the garage than any of my kids ever did. Too bad he cant hand me a wrench.
You may have misinterpreted the purpose of cats. If he had thumbs, he'd wait until your attention was focused somewhere else before moving tools just beyond the reach of your fingertips. He'd sit watch (supervise) from a safe distance to be entertained by the forthcoming fit of lunacy.

So, like all men, I only go to the doctor for one of a couple of reasons.
Because I think:
I'm gonna die.
Or....
I have something wrong where the corrective action will result in some sort of radical corrective surgery, followed by me having to either cath myself, or wear some plastic bag because the holes on your body that used to take care of that for you have either been bypassed, or sewn shut.
Those are the only two reasons you'll ever see me sitting in the doctors' office.
Today I went to the doctor. I have a slightly annoying tingle.
Considering that 1 in 3 men my age will get prostrate cancer, I figured the odds were against me, and " tingles" where they weren't supposed to tingle,may be a warning.
Not wanting to suffer either of my two scenarios described above, I worked myself up, mentally preparing for the mid evil process doctors call a D.R.E., and the escrutiating additional procedure know as " milking your prostrate".
I leave work today telling the boss that I'll be so violated that I'll be no good even if I get in and out quick, that I'll be worthless, and that I'm gonna go home from there instead of coming back for an hour.
He's got no problem with that.
I get to the dr. I get into the little waiting room. Blood pressure has shot up to 160/100. Dr comes in, we talk, he listens to my heart, lungs, and pokes around on my stomach. Tells me the only real way to diagnose prostrate cancer now days is a colonoscopy, but he'd draw some blood and do a PSA screen first.
He tells me that PSA tests have been inconclusive far too many times, but if my numbers are in the red, we'll have to take it to the next level, but otherwise I look, and sound healthy.
Draw blood? That's it? No dreaded middle finger of death? No, " here, clean yourself up" afterwards? Well hell. And I got all worked up over a stupid little needle?
I'll hear back from him tomorrow depending on what he sees from the test.
In the meantime, I still have this tingle.
I'm thinking that this ain't over folks.
Because I think:
