Now THAT, my friend, is an outstanding idea.My long distance driving plans for the monster in 2017 have come to a realistic halt. With the knee operations planned for apr 1. and the house move in planned for july 1,...there won't be any time left to do anything except work. This is a young Gila Monster,...he has many more years of driving in front of him...Maybe we can make a mini meet somewhere in and around the end of summer? Like Ohh,....Memphis maybe?
Blues,...BBQ,...Beer....We'll call it the first annual...Fall,........ Down festival.
Then Collin and Allen can come up from Houston.
He's from New Zealand. He was my go-to for information when I built this thing. He is a weird sort of guy,...ask him a question, and he'll ramble on for about 3 pages,..linking all sorts of pics and vids from days gone by. By the time he's done rambling, you don't know if he ever answered your question.

What am I, chopped liver? Memphis appears to be 8 hours, 29 mins from Marion, IA, and about 8 hours, 39 mins from Houston. Seems its just as logical for me to invite myself along to this shin dig, since you aint gonna.
PS, I know you said it several times in your vid, but you should do something about those rattling cup holders. Otherwise, glad to see it running so well!

But it is a doable thing. We'd get about 7-10 of us , and plan.a long weekend in Memphis.....Leave on Friday,....Stay at the Peabody. Eat, drink and party on Beale street Saturday Night, then everybody drives back home Sunday......easy peasy.
Just looked at a few distances...I'm 4 hours away,..Dave is 6. The texas boys are 8 hours 45 minutes, and then there's you Iowa..
Well you do what you want/need to..I wouldn't want to drive after a night like I had a few nights ago either.....Gotta remember to bring/drink water,......lots of water.

It should be easy....as long as we keep it at 4 days in September...who wouldn't wanna go? Memphis is a cleaner new Orleans, only with blues instead of jazz,.. and BBQ instead of crawfish.

I may or may not be able to make that depending on work schedule and available vacation days. Sounds like fun. My wife is expecting a trip to the PNW this year, so we'll have to see.
