Hey guys.. I'm new to this site and need some help...
My wife's 1978 Mustang II Cobra, that we've had since new is in need of a replacement brake booster. It has a vacuum leak.
I haven't had any luck finding a direct replacement other than a $300 one on Amazon. The car is all original and prefer to keep it that way. Any recommendations on a source or a place that still rebuilds these old things.
Thanks...........

Welcome to the group! Although I don't have a good answer for you I'm sure someone might. A quick look on Amazon says this one is compatible and available, but I can't personally confirm. Seems a little pricey at ~$300 but I've not done a lot of searching for a booster for our cars to know the market.

There is also some info here if it helps.

The best bet is probably this post from that thread:

RockAuto has a rebuild and return service through Cardone for them.

Hope this all helps! Good luck and let us know what you've come up with!

I saw Where Cardone will do a R&R, but only for business's, not individuals . I called several rebuild shops and the prices were high, $385 plus shipping.
I then sent a message to the seller on Amazon, and finally spoke with them. They are Power Brake Exchange in Nevada.
They are shipping a rebuilt one out to me, and once I return the core. I will get a refund on it.. Total after core refund, including shipping both ways were $179. Not cheap, but better than the other prices and a direct fit
