Hey guys new to 5.0s and this site in general.. I have a 89 HO in which the bottom.end has fallen out of...

I have a 1988 crown vic non HO I know the the top end is completly different and the firing order what what I gather... my question is

If I use my gt40p heads the stock cam and intake and everything else and swap it onto the 1988 non ho short block will I run into valve clearance problems?
I assume the bottom ends on both engines are identical?
I haven't had the heads off either engine so I'm not sure if they both or neither have valve reliefs... is there room to add a mild cam with the gt40.heads and that bottom end?

Once again I apologize for all the questions that surely have been asked millions if times just looking to get some.

Non ho piston do not have valve reliefs, you may not have a problem with stock cam and p heads, I would check it anyway. Non ho engines are lower compression I think.
i put together a non ho bottom end, e cam and p heads years ago, valves just did touch the piston enough to make a mark and sounded like a sewing machine, there was almost no low end power too. Stock cam may work better.
