Yep, basically, this turned the car into a parts donor. Will strip what I need, then try to sell the roller chassis. Hopefully it doesn’t have to go to scrap…
If you have some mechanical ability you can rebuilt it yourself. They aren't rocket surgery or anything.
If you wanted to beef up the A4LD, I'm told that you can use some of the clutch packs, etc from a 4.0L v6 Ranger application (same trans but built heavier duty for the heavier vehicle with more torque).
I've not been into an A4LD....plenty of others, though. They tell me it's based on a C3 which is utter rubbish.
I appreciate that, but I’m not going to dig into an auto trans and expect it to work when I put it back together, lol.
May donate the trans, or sell as a core…. But it isn’t worth much to me.
The car is stripped of what I need, and I’ll list it for sale as a rolling chassis this weekend. The car itself is in pretty decent shape
