Actually the line judge who made the call shouldn't have called it at all. He couldn't even see the play. The upstairs booth called the replay right away cause they saw something that was not jiving with the call on the field. Again, they had plenty of chances to stop them. Even ray Lewis said that.

Second off yes it was the right call. If it was Mason who made the catch I would say the same thing.

I doubt that...

Show the undisputible evidence that it was CLEARLY a TD, enough to overturn the call on the field?

Even if it was wrong, (which I don't think he was wrong in overturning it) football has human error involved. You have to overcome that. How about the Steelers / Colts 2005 Divisional Playoffs game when Troy intercepted the ball, rolled over and got up and knocked the ball out with his knee and they called it incomplete? They tried to give that game to the Colts but the Steelers overcame that and put the smack down.

I agree with you 100% in the Colts vs Steelers game INT call. I dont think they tried to give the Colts the game, that call was terrible. Btw the Steelers had 2 penalties for 8 yards all game long. The Colts had 9 for 67. Hardly the refs trying to throw that game.

But the INT call also wasnt the last play of the game.

To your point of human error, I would agree with you that a call on the field can and does have human error. But the main issue with this is they overturned a call with no 100% crystal clear visual evidence that according to the rules you are supposed to have.

If they called it a TD on the field it should have stood, if they called it down on the 6 inch line it should have stood. There is no possible way from any camera angle you can determine without a shadow of a doubt he was in the endzone.

It wasn't the last play of the game in Baltimore either. Just take a look at all the pictures of him catching it, there is enough there to overturn it. I'll try to find a pic when I get home tonight

My neighbor is the backup QB for the chiefs and he played with Leftwich on the Jags and he said Leftwich is a self centered douche. I can see that too, remember when Ben was out a game and Leftwich had a good game and he said after the game "I am just glad I got the opportunity to show what I can do" nothing mentioned about being sorry Ben went down. Quinn (my neighbor) said in Jax they were up like 30 points and the coach said they were gonna let Garrard play a quarter and Quinn play a quarter and Leftwich said "No way, I am playing". I don't like him, he is a good backup, but I think Batch is better.

Wow, well No Charlie this year and he can be as self centered as he needs to be. . .Good guy to have back there if Ben goes down :nice:

I would have. I'm a fan of football andwill give credit where credit is due. AGain if Mason would have got it, same thing. I would be pissed cause they got a game from my favoite team if thats what you want to hear LOL. But again the judge who made the call couldn't even see the catch so it is what it is.

I can't find any high resolution pictures, will be nice to see them when you get home.

The only pictures Im seeing are after the tacle was made. There are vid clips everywhere though. Its interesting. Just watch the line judge at the to[p of the screen from the sideline shot. He has to pop up and look around a Ravens defensive player AFTER the catch was made. I mean this is all a dead matter right now. Steelers-Titans Sinday!! Its like playoff football every week around here!!!!!
