If brady does not come back that would suck for the Pats, but he does have three superbowl rings he will be ok. On another note my damn Cowboys are sucking and this week vs Tampa does not look good with a 40 yr old Qb vs a good defense.

Brady is going to be fine, all this doom and gloom crap about him not coming back next year or ever again is all :bs: hes going to be fine

You're right. It's obviously a conspiracy brought on by the doctors to make Patroit fans lose sleep at night.

"Move along, nothing to see here!"

Actually they said on ESPN today that Brady's doctor has been consulting with James Andrews and that apparently Brady is responding to IV antibiotics. As long as the repair isnt compramised he should be good to go next year.

Worst case is they will have to redo the original surgery and then he would probably miss at least part of next season if that happends.

Sure, he'll probably be ok...but there is a serious concern about it and it could get ugly. No matter how far in the sand Redline sticks his head, it's a legitimate problem.

Crazy stuff. I know quite a bit about staph because my youngest son is real susceptible for some reason. He's had it 4-5 times in the last 2 years. So far it clears up with antibiotics and Bactriban if he has a cut. We have to watch any cut he gets since even the minor scrapes will get staph.

That's what I like to hear. Optimism ftw! :nice:

Yeah, I was glad to hear that Dr Andrews is getting involved.. that guy is the be-all, end-all of sports doctors in my opinion. If he thinks he's going to be fine, then i'd have to believe him. I think he'll be fine after antibiotics.

I actually had staph for 42 days when I was a wee little one. It came after one surgery and they actually operated on me while I had it, which was completely ignorant. But, it took a while even for me as an infant to get over it. So i'm sure it'll take a full-grown man a little while to clear out whatever infection it is. It's never "easy" to get rid of a post-op infection.

Both me and my brother came down with staph infections last summer. That Bactriban stuff killed mine off fairly quickly but my brother's was quite a bit tougher.

I read somewhere that a second attempt at a acl repair if the first is compromised is not as good of a chance of recovery..

This is what he gets for going to LA for his surgery.. BTW why was Dr. andrews not the doctor who did the surgery to start with.

That's what i'd like to know. Common sense would tell you to go with him; I'd go with him over whoever my family told me to go to.

He wasnt who the Pats wanted him to use anyway, they wanted him to go to a guy in Boston. But I am sure there are compitent surgeons all over the country including LA.

However an infection is not necessarily the fault of the doctor, could have happend even with Dr Andrews. Just bad luck.
