Something makes you think the Duralast one would be crappy?

Bad experiences with all of the parts house brands are all over this board and others. I have never run anything but a Motorcraft due to all of the threads with issues with the non-OEM units.

Now I understand that Motorcraft ones are more expensive and had to find but they work. I’m sure some of the aftermarket ones have worked but I don’t trust them.

yep had same problem same symptoms looked at everything even changed the balancer pully before finally realizing it was the actual balancer

STock one lasted for 34 years or so.... I would think a new one would work fine..
I installed a powerbond on my Explorer engine rebuild and it seems like a great unit so far..
