What's up. I have been thinking about installing my heater core in the engine compartment instead of behind the dash. Has anyone done this before and will it work? I was thinking that I could run the hoses to my heater core from the engine compared and find a place to secure it. Thanks for the help.

Hmm, I can't see how that would be possible. It's located within the firewall because that's where your fan blower/duct work is located. If you relocate it, you would have to add some sort of extention duct work that would run from the firewall to the HC. Too much work IMO and it would be very inefficient due to the distance the air would have to travel.
