Ah, I didn't realize those pieces were universal so I'll try to get some replacements (along with new o-rings) and proceed with the 19lb swap testing

Yeah, it's just a little frustrating because I haven't driven the car for ~7 months and I feel like I'm so close at this point I can taste it! Is there a spot for "want ads" here on StangNet? If so I'll definitely post to see if anyone has any 42/47lb'ers they might want to sell...

The injectors I bought were not that expensive... I think I paid $300 for them.

Scrooge McDuck over there swimming in his pool of gold coins

I'm considering just ordering a set of Ford 47lb ones like Steve's but would hate if the injectors end up not being the issue... I've sunk so much money into the car at this point what's another $300? lol

There are two injector testing/cleaning companies about 30mi away so I've emailed both of them to see what they would charge to test my 60s.

http://floridainjection.com/ and http://floridafuelinjection.com

The minumum PW is not really something you can get away from... If you had a 331 or 347 we could make them work but in this application we are hitting the wall on the low limit. I am still willing to let you try my injectors and see if it cleans the issue up, maybe i can just drive down to you and tune the car in person.

Yeah I understand, what did you say the minimum was on your 47's? Something like ~0.6?

I got a response from one company and they want $25/injector to test so no way I'm doing that for $200 when I can get 47's for ~300.

I'm considering just ordering some, are these the same as the ones you're running? https://www.summitracing.com/parts/fms-m-9593-lu47

If so, looks like connector adapters are needed?

those are correct, yes you do have to add the adapters I have not had any issue with them.

These have a minimum pw of .687ms about half of what yours have. I already have the excel file made for these as well.

Sold! LMR had the best price of $299 with the adapters included so I went ahead and ordered them. Used a $25 off > $250 code (gift25 in case it's not account specific for anyone else wanting to try) so total was $274.99 and they should be here Tuesday

If she still gives us tuning troubles, I might take you up on that drive-down-here offer Steve Hopefully I'll be driving it up to you to have a beer though!

Thanks, me too man! Hoping to get to the shop on Tuesday when they come in to try them out

Steve, should I go all the way back to Rev 1.0.0 you sent me and adjust the deadtime for the 47lb injectors? I know all our recent changes have been to try and compensate for the weirdness in the 60lb injectors so I'm sure we'll want to back those changes out...

Yes we will need to start from scratch unfortunately. I dont trust the ve table tune we have been working with very much. So really you could revert back to tune 2.0 where the car idled very well but rich.

Cool sounds good to me Then I would probably need to do the base idle setting with the IAC unplugged like we did at the beginning? Resetting the fuel pressure back to 39-40psi will need to be done as well so making a mental note that it's still jacked way up.

In other news, no welding got done yesterday on the mufflers or subframe stuff. Ron's good friends with the exhaust shop next door that was gonna be doing it so he set up the appointment and apparently they didn't slot out enough time to weld up all the Stiffler's stuff. There's apparently more grinding/prep I need to do as well to save some cost so they marked up the spots with welding marker so I'll know what I need to grind still.

Good news is that aside from reassembling the interior and installing the hood and fender liners (and injector swap of course) I think everything is pretty much ready to go. I can't wait to cruise around again!

Most of what we did was bandaid work to get around the injector issue.

I just plugged in the calibration info for the 47lb'ers so just wanted to show my result here for a sanity check

looks correct, did you just link the injector data to the table or did you have to manually input the data?

Cool, I manually entered the data from the calibration sheet into the MS calculator spreadsheet. I copy pasted everything so it should be right, but I know you're running the same injectors so just wanted to show what I had in case it looked different that what you have.
