Hello! I recently decided to try and convert my 92 lx 4cyl mustang to a 4-speed manual out of a 79 mustang. My dad no longer needs all of the old parts due to his T-5 swap. However we have approached a road-bump. We have the clutch pedal assembly from a 88 mustang 5.0 and we have no clue if this would even work in a 4cyl model? its the only one we have with the wiring adapter for a fuel injected mustang (his is a four barrel carb) Which brings me to my next question..On a 92 lx, Does it already have a wire for the clutch wire? if not how could you add one? Or would you need a manual lx harness? Any help is greatly appreciated!

The issue with your swap might be finding a bellhousing that adapts the 4-speed SROD to a 2.3L block. A 4-cyl T-5 bell won't work. The bolt pattern is different for the SROD

Yes, you can use the clutch pedal quadrant. The clutch safety switch wiring is in the area and just jumpered out. Remove the jumper and plug into the safety switch

The reverese light harness will need to be spliced as the pre-86 harness was different from post 86 harnesses.
