To put it simply, the power supply line going into my ignition switch is going cold when putting the switch in the "start" position. The only way i can get it the engine to crank is to putt the switch into the "run" position and jump the yellow power supply line to the white/ pink line, on the back side of the connector, that leads to the starting system. The switch is currently hanging from the dash because i doubt have the ignition key and in removing the old key cylinder, the ignition tamper sensor was destroyed.
The anti theft is bypassed and i have not replaced the key cylinder yet because i have been unable to find a replacement tamper sensor.
Ignition switch is new and passed continuity test.
What i am currently trying to diagnose is why that power wire is losing power when the ignition switch is put into the start position. Ideas?
I just recently got this car from auction. It has no mods of any kind.
