1999-2004 Clear Foglights Before/After?

Does anyone else feel our stock GT foglights look dated on the current Mustang? They're slotted and foggy-looking in comparison to the headlights. So, I was thinking of installing a set of these clear ones:

But, I'd really like to see before and after pictures to see if they're worth the time. I've checked past threads but can't find any good pics of the 1999+ model with these. Has anyone installed clear fogs, having pictures or opinions? Thanks.

Honestly I would not make that Mod a priority because you cannot even see the lights under the front bumper.

I don't want to speak for your body style but I fully agree that the new clear ones are much better. I just changed out my stock headlights for the clear ones and it made a world of difference. I have wanted GT foglights forever and now I am in search of the matching clear ones. The ones I have seen (in pictures only) are really nice.

For some reason I am having trouble finding a complete kit for my V6 but I am in search! For your year model, try www.velocitymustangperformance.com. They sell the kits and just the lenses (I imagine this is all you need) and seem reasonably priced.

Here are mine. Not a very good angle though, but they are a hell of alot better than those cheap looking, foggy, stock ones. I bought mine off Ebay as well. Good quality. You might want to put some silicone around the seam just for added protection against leaks.

I really like the CDC quad driving lights...but they retail for $395. They better be nice for that price, eh?

Thanks guys. I think the clear fogs look great; those should have been stock. So was the install time-consuming---I assume you have to take off the bumper cover and stuff? How do you make sure they're both aligned correctly? Very nice cars by the way...

Took me 30 mins in the cold winter
You don't have to take the bumper cover off. There are 3 hex bolts holding it on, 2 on the top (horizontal) and 1 on the bottom of the bumper (vertical). It's a little tough but once you figure out where they are, it's not that bad. I did it all by touch since I couldn't see well with the flashlight.

yes the install is a breeze. Just jack up the front end or put it up on ramps. then you can look behind the front bumper and see where they bolt in at. Once you switch them out you then can align them. You do this from the front of them. You can see a white adjustable screw that has a spring behind it. Turning this will raise and lower the angle of the fog light. Good luck.

thanks man. My friend and I both did ours the same way. The guy at the dealer he works for painted them for us. Was a good deal.

remember those are torx screws, not hex.

I didn't see any redfire GT's racing though?
My best run of the night was a sad 14.20, the -very- first race of the day for the track. Hooked ok then, I didn't go WOT in first since I wasn't sure how the track was. Every run after that -sucked-. Anything over 1/2 throttle in first broke out I have a heavy foot so I broke traction every time.

We're planning on going on 4/21, I'm getting dyno'd on the 17th and I'm going to throw on my snow tires, less weight and more sidewall. You gonna go? I goto school at UML, right next door to Dracut!

Do you have a GT (then you already have the mounting brackets), or do you have a V6 (then you need to get the mounting brakets).
