Well first of all I should introduce myself, my name is Nick and I have been a proud owner of my Black 1996 Mustang GT for a year now.

With that out of the way I would like to know one of the best ways to get my car to reach a goal of around 300 Whp with 350ft/lb of torque. I know this could sound like a stuped thing to ask, and you may say Iknow nothing about cars for asking this but to be honest - I just dont know enough about the 4.6 in my car to do anything on my own.

Thanks guys :nice:

well, swap your heads for the PI heads (99+), full exhaust, underdrive pulleys, timing adjuster, upper intake and throttle body and a tune and you'll have a good start. cams and having the heads ported and polished will also help.

It will help if when you do a pi head swap you get ported pi heads and nice cams and tune. That and full exhaust "could" just about do it. Underdrive pullies are cheap but forget those things and get an electric water pump :nice: you'll see more hp and still have your accesories working at full capacity.

Nitrous or Supercharger will do the job. To go the N/A way you need lots of $$$$
True but, it's not like chargers are cheap to buy, install, or tune. Having N/A doesn't require any bottom end work. Nitrous is cheap but you "Could" need a bottom end upgrade $$$$.

First of all, let me say that it can definitely be done. Longtube headers, X-pipe, Ported & Polished PI heads with cams and a good tune will definitely get you there. It will even be a little easier with your higher compression ratio.

Good luck !

In his post he stated 300hp 350tq.. Heads ported and Polished about 1,200. Cams 550. Thatz just 2 things that he would need to reach his goal. OR 600 for a safe Nitrous system with a 100shot and bam there you go he got what he wants for alot less cheap. And a stock bottom end 4.6 will hold up to a 100 shot for a LONG time.

I would just like to thank everyone for the posts. I live in Regina, Canada so I definitly should try and go N/A because of our cold winters. I could try for a super charger which would be the wisest choice again for our winters if I forced air.

Thank's guys, new heads, ported, exhust, that isnt too bad at all and it is all work me and my father could do in our shop - awesome :nice:
