2.3 Temp sender

Hi all. I need to put a temp sender in my recently accquired 1980 capri. But for some odd reason, I can't find it. I swapped the upper and lower intake on my 95 GTS But I can't find one stinking temp sender. Anyone know the exact location of this darn thing. I'm jus baffeled. Can anyone help.

for the gauge its in the side of the block, driverside...straight down from the oil pressure sending unit (looks like a golden oval, screws into the back of the head). Is your motor EFI? if its a carb, it *should* be in the same spot, not sure though
