2 Q's...

Okay, so I bought my longtube headers and pro-chamber for $200. Now I'm worried about my smog check. I usually pass with flying colors and almost 0 emissions...but I also had 4 cats and a smog pump. How will I do without those factors? Is there some way I can rig up my smog pump to the pro-chamber, or whatnot?

My second Q is That I have a Torque converter that's less than half full, and can't put it on the tranny w/ any more fluid in it. My dad said that the tranny fluid will fill up the TQ, but he's used to AMC's. Is that all I have to do to have a full TQ when I'm done, is put fluid in the tranny?

You will need a cat H pipe for the long tubes. Your chances of passing emissions testing with the long tube headers decrease because extra tube length causes a temperature drop in the exhaust gas. That temp drop reduces the effectiveness of both the O2 sensors and the cat converters. Both of them need hot exhaust to work properly.

just keep your old stuff and slap it back on for emissions, thats what a lot of us do
Long tubes will not fit the stock cat H pipe. Removing and reinstalling the long tubes is not a simple process for most cars, so swapping the old headers and H pipe isn't a good solution.

Agree. Plus its not worth the hassle to change around all the time. Sell the prochamber and find a used midpipe for the longtubes with cats. Its not going to kill HP like some will probably tell you. Plus it will be quieter, which is a plus...lord knows he need another loud mustang running around.:D

I dont live in an inspection state, but I am told that if they have O2's equipped and you are running cats then you are fine with LT's.

I am also told that Andrew Jackson will personally convince the inspector to waive you through as well. I wouldnt put a lot of stock into this though.
