i have a set of player 20x8.5 wheels that were given to me by my cousin. the wheels were previously on a ford ranger. the wheels have a 114 bolt pattern whiich is the same bolt pattern as the 94-98 stangs. will a 20 inch wheel fit a 94-98 gt mustang convertible? any fitment issues as far as rubbing by the wheel or tire. i saw in tirerack.com that a 245/30-20 wheel will fit? any comment or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Customer of mine has 20's on his 94 vert. They look too big, and he said that he gets soooo much brake dust now because of the increase in rotating mass. I would upgrade to 13" brakes with some drilled or slotted rotors and good pads if you put these on.

Those wheels would probably make you car ride like the ranger they were taken off of. They just dont fit well within the wheel wells of the car and in my opinion look like crap. I have seen pictures of these cars with 20's on them so if you do decide to put them on they should fit (although i dont know if the cars pictured had to be modified). If you do do it though i dont recommend posting pictures here unless you dont mind getting flamed...people here can (and will) be brutally honest about what they think of them.

My cousin had 20" wheels on his Stang but he took em off cause they rode like chit and made the car slow as hell, and not to mention that the cost of tires in that size are robbery.

The offset between the ranger and Mustang is probably wrong. They would physically bolt up, but would prob either stick way out or be sucked in and rub

Plus they would make the car look like a clown car. Dont put 20's on a car just to say you have 20's when they make the car look like 20 bozo's are about to hop out of it.

EDIT: 2005+'s look sweet with 20's, but they have physically larger wheel wells. On the Sn95, 18's is about the largest visibly appealing size you can go.

Heck, I have a buddy that put 20s on his S197 and I think they are even to big for that car. Then again that’s just my opinion.

20s look right at home on the '05+ Stangs IMHO...

On a SN95? No.

I think they look bad. But besides that, the tires are not cheap!

It may fit but the car will ride like a straight axle wagon. Not to mention look pretty dumb.
