So I know that the colors of the Bullitt wheels slightly changed throughout the years from 2001-2004. I would like to get a set of deep dish wheels for the rear of my car at some point in the near future, but I know the color of the aftermarket Bullitts doesn't match the 2001 Bullitt wheel color which would bug me to no end. I am seriously thinking of buying a used set of whatever color 17x10.5 Bullitts I can get my hands on, and spraying them to match the fronts. I actually prefer the '01 color better anyway. My question is, does anyone know the actual color, or can anyone get their hands on the actual paint code for those wheels? Then I can just order a can of that color from Automotive Touchup. Badabing, Badaboom!!

I thought about doing this as well, however the other small detail is that on aftermarket bullitt wheels the lip is usually super polished and the stock lip is not. It may bug you it may not, there are some people who have done it so i know there are some pics out there. I waited till i needed new tires and said screw it and bought the wheels too. Got away with it pretty cheap too if i can remember. Bought my tires with like 90% tread used on ebay, saved a ton, granted the sumitomos arent the best, but they get the job done.

anthracite is the stock 01 bullitt color i believe. I had a set off number 5xxx, then everybody got em, and ford made em stock, made me mad lol. but i know they got either lighter or darker with age..

They got darker, and then slightly brownish in 03-04 I believe...or maybe that was in 02. Either way, the 01 color is my favorite shade of gray and I would like to find out exactly what the paint code it. Yes, it is Anthracite, but so are all the other aftermarket Bullitt wheels.

As for the lips, I could either polish the front ones, then seal them to match the rears, or sand the lip on the rears a bit to match the fronts. It all depends how much difference there is. I think the color of the wheel face stands out more to me that the amount of polish on the lip from the cars I've seen with stock front Bullitts and aftermarket 10.5 rears.

01-02 were a lighter shade of gray and 03-04 was a darker shade of gray similar to the dark shadow gray

Hi All,
I have found the paint code to the 2001-2004 Bullitt wheels. I have these on my 65 Mustang Fastback and a few of the spokes have nicks in them. I called Ford Racing Products, gave them the part number of the rim, and the paint code is 3NSEY9A which cross references to PPG 907188, Grey Metallic. It matches perfectly.
You'll probably need to get this mixed at your local automotive paint supply store as it was nearly impossible to find it on line.
Just thought I share.

The color changed between 01 and 04. So the paint matches which one?

As I've also been searching for the correct paint color for '03 Mustang GT bullitt wheels, I went to my local PPG paint store this AM and pulled some color chip cards. PPG 907188, Grey Metallic matches my factory painted 2003 wheels perfectly.
