2001 GT Clutch - Which one to buy?

I have a 2001 Mustang GT with a 3650. I am looking for an upgraded clutch. I use my car as a daily drive (stop and go driving) not high performance.

My ideal clutch would be smoother, progressive engagement and less effort. This the opposite question then most people ask, but as I said, I not into high performance - just saving my left knee (injury) during LA stop and go.

Cost is not a major consideration - quality is.

Thanks for advice and feedback

Get Centerforce Dual Friction, and resurface ur stock flywheel.
the Centerforce is so soft that u can't even know that is a stang clutch. u feel like a honda civic clutch. i stalled my car twice after the installation because the clutch was so damn soft. compare to stock, it is like day and night.
Edit: btw, my car have KB 9psi, and centerforce DF grap like a mofo  i can spin tire at any gear i want from 1st to 3rd without power shift :D

exactly what he said. :nice: Centerforce is one of the best, and will last. The clutch feel is awesome :nice:

u can buy Centerforce DF from Stangnet Partshopper.
here is how u check wat tranmission u have because 3650 has 11" clutch meanwhile T45 has 10.5" clutch

* 2001 Mustangs could have a T45 or the new 3650 if it was built in or after Feb of 2001. ALL 2001 Cobras and Bullitts have the new 3650 tranny.

If you have a 2001 Bullitt or Cobra then you have the TR-3650 Tranny.
If you have a 2001 GT, then look on your driver side door jam, there will be a build code sticker. If you have a 'K' under the 'TR' code, then you have the TR-3650 tranny. Else you have the older T45 tranny.
If you have a 2002 GT, or Cobra, then you have the TR-3650 Tranny.
All V6 Mustangs have the T45 Tranny.
2003 Cobra has a T56 6 Speed.

Does the grabbing point change if I get the CF dual friction? Am I going to have to get anything other than the clutch kit?
i dont know about the grabbing point but u r rite, u will get the clutch kit only. however, also remember to get the Centerforce Throw Out Bearing too, cause' the stock one looks like plastic. :D
