hi I have a couple questions...

2002 mustang gt originally had codes for mass air meter saying system to lean... then that went away...

Then check engine light would flash and it would sputter alot... check engine light said that there were multiple misfires at 1,000 rpms 1, 5,3,7 had misfires....

car would jerk at 1500rpms in 4th or 5th gear....

i replaced the plugs and the car ran amazing sounded great and even had that sexy crackle back....

well on he highway the car cut off at 70mph... had it towed home.... i have no spark from coils...

would brand new plugs ruin the coils packs?

please let me know of anything else to check!!!

thanks!

Please post the full DTC codes.

Did you fix the too lean? Likely a vacuum leak. Just because the check engine light is not on, doesn't mean the problem is solved.

The 2002 does not have coil packs. It has coil on plugs (COP). How did you remove the COP's? If you were too rough, possible to damage the boot insulator.

Note, it is possible to buy new boot insulators. This saves $$ if the only problem is the insulator boot.

Did you clean out the spark plug wells? Moisture will pool at the bottom and cause the spark to ground out.
