Just got a 03 cobra vert - white on black.

Is it common for this tranny to have a clunk sound when you let off the gas?
I am geting this in all gears ofcourse the lower the gear the more clunk noise.
Is this the aluminum driveshaft? rear end noise?

How does everyone tranny perform.

Nothing to worry about. All 03/04 Cobra's have this problem. The T56 coupled with the IRS has an excessive amount of driveline slack. :( You get used to it after a while...

U.M.

My 01 does this also. I bet if you upgrade the suspention in the rear with quality bushings and a upgraded IRS brace it will cut it down a bit. For some reason alot of IRS cars do this. Including my buddies old cadi cts-v which had 15k miles.

Tranny noise

I had my car in and they found the throught (???) bearing on the tranny needed to be replaced. There is also a recall on the shaft that that bearing is attached to, it gets hairline fractures in it. While they where at it they also replace my clutch! My car was in 3 times to get all this fixed.

Throw Out Bearing:flag: Have not heard about the recall on the input shaft though:rolleyes:
