2005 bullet wheels on a 65

i went through this hell for a long time and i finally just realized i should get something i know will fit....

those fit perfect on my 68 and say they will fit anything from 65-73.

Perhaps, but anyone with a 69-73 that buys these rims and uses the recommended sizes shown below will be sorely disappointed. A 245 tire in the rear is going to look cheezy.
0mm offset (4.50" backspacing).
5x4.50" bolt pattern (same as 5x114.3mm).
Fitment:
Ford Mustang 5-lug (8 cylinder) 1965-1973
Recommended tire size: 235/45/17 (front and rear) or
235/45/17 (front) and 245/45/17 (rear).

put my '06 Bullitt Wheels On
I used 1.5" spacers front & rear to test fit the wheels on the driver side (no stores around me carried the correct lug nuts so I pirated some from the other 2 spacers) In the front, the wheels was about 1/8"+ from the UCA. In the rear I have about 1.25" from the closest point to the leaf. Fender clearance in the rear is fine. In the front the tire touched when turning the wheel right at the lower front corner.
The spacers put the wheels right where I wanted them but the front tires seem to be just a hair too tall. I should have my new lug nuts in from summit in a week and will try again as soon as I can get back to my garage. Looks like 235/45 front and 255/45 rear will be the best combo to run. I'll get pics as soon as I can.

finally took some pics...
Here are the pics of the '06 wheels on my basically stock height '65. Rear tires are are fine... could actually be a bit larger, but the fronts catch on the forward lower edge of the fender when the wheel is cut. I ran 1.5" spacers all around. Once I get a little extra money I am putting on 255/45/17 rear and 235/45/17 fronts.
