A guy at work drove up in his 2005 vette and everybody was in awe (all chevy guys BTW).

"Oh it has a 6-speed tranny!"

"Man it has 400 HP at the wheels!"

They were giving me crap and said where is your little 4.6 today (cause I didn't drive it today)? They were saying it has 400 HP at the wheels stock and it will annihilate an 03/04 cobra. I said whatever, but I should be at 405 RWHP with my mods, mine cost $27K, has forged internals, and a 6-speed tranny too. Anyways I don't see what the big deal with the new vette is. Yeah it is a nice piece of American muscle, but I though it was a mitsubishi or dodge stealth from the front until I saw the arse.

I don't know- I drove one at a GM test track and that car hauls serious a*s. It will give your car a serious run- though it looks horrific with the new styling- I love that it has the speedometer projected onto the windshield at near eye level!

i like the new vetts alot but imo it costs to much. and that speed projection thing on the windshield is sick. i drove a 2002 vett and they handle really well, with litle to no body roll.
