Just reading the home page and looks like might be putting the 5.0 in the 2010 mustang.....

I have been long waiting to grow a mullet and get another camaro but if the new design of the mustangs for 2010 with the 5.0 are what I imagine then I may be persuaded to stay with the blue oval. Unfortunately most I have seen are just concept drawings.

I was over on the 05+ reading about this and they are now saying it won't happen till 2011 or 2012. They said the 2010 will have the same 4.6 300hp mod motor. It would be nice if they would push the stock power of the 4.6 to 350hp for 2010. A 350hp stang should be able to keep up with the new heavy camaro and challenger.

people said the 5.0 was coming back with the new edges, then the fr500 would be made, then the new 2005's would have it.

It still hasn't happened.

unless gas prices go back down to the $3 a gallon mark, i doubt we'll see a new V8 in the Mustang anytime soon.

Who cares about gas prices, I wish ford would make a TT DOHC V12 and put it in a mustang. I'd buy that.

I have heard that there will be turboed v6 direct injected engines in the new mustangs. For fuel economy. I'd buy it and swap in a v8. :D

Do you really think it is that easy to make 350hp on 4.6 liters? Maybe BMW does it, but that engine was designed with 7500rpm in mind from the start. The ford 4.6 just doesn't these same advantages, like a good bore/stroke ratio.

IA 350hp stang should be able to keep up with the new heavy camaro and challenger.

You'll be making less power! The low end v6 will make 340hp from the factory, and turbo cars LOVE mods. It's so easy to make extra power just by turning up the boost, or cooling the aircharge better. See above for the problems with the 4.6.

I don't think the mustang is exactly underpower with 300hp. It keeps pace with the competition, as the competition is extremely HEAVY! Check the curb weights on the GTO, new camaro and anything with the new 'hemi'.
